Yeah the gig was a wee bit quiet but the crowd that was there certainly enjoyed it. The vibe is always there and that's the main thing.
It's sometimes good to be able to break it up and not have a solid night of dancing, and to mix it up with the occasional song or set of tunes.
It would be GREAT if we could share a night with some Zambian musicians. Could lead to some interesting fusion and even some new material!
It's always good to be doing something for a good cause and I'm always up for it

"Stephen’s Nightly Dance Quota - 3 (hurrah!)"
I am beginning to think that we are losing our caller and gaining a demonstrator !! Do you know why he takes to the floor so regurlarly and so readily ?
Is it because acoustics make it difficult sometimes to call a dance through the microphone so people can't hear ,people get confused etc...?
Is it because the chairs we get to sit on can be a tad uncomfortable ?
Hmm Na it is because the man absolutely LOVES dancing which is just as well since it always seems to rub on the rest of the audience .
It was a nice gig if a bit quiet but everyone seemed to enjoy it although I would have to say that the night belonged to a couple of lassies who were on the floor for most of the evening.
Despite the low number of dancers we pretty much had a full floor towards the end and Stevie was still playing with us !!

Look forward to Stirling next week .

We were so good it sounded like there were 2 bands playin! Oh, wait a minute, that was the acoustics wasn't it?

Yes it was a fine evening. The mood among the crowd was great, and I'm sure we helped make a splendid birthday party.

Not bad for our 4th (?) gig. The standard was high and the tempo was good. What more could you possibly need?!

I would just like to add a short on the outstanding performance Stephen and the guys gave at our wedding.

If you are looking for a relaxed band that will give you a great ceilidh experience book the celilidh Bandidos.

I would like to note that no golf buggies were harmed during the evening :-) It was also discovered late in the night that they do have lights !!

Who you calling a Jessie?
See back in my day we used to lie awake at night dreaming of cold ferries and the time when we wouldn't have to swim. And even the most sartorially challenged guitarist should know that winter woolies are the new smart-but-casual, particularly when playing Easdale.
Have to agree about the dance though. It's always heartwarming to see the young 'uns taking the lead and hitting the floor like that. They're the future, man!

Man, that was a cold ferry journey!

I turned up in my usual standard attire (no, not Fred Perry shell suit!) and everyone else had their winter woolies on. Big bunch a Jessies!

Gig was good though. From kick off the dancefloor was packed, everyone was right up for it right to the end and we left them wantin more. Perfect!

If we can get gigs like that more often than not, I'll be more than happy.
