the ceilidh bandidos

The Ceilidh Bandidos are heading out of Argyll to play in Wiltshire, England on the weekend of 24th to the 26th June 2011 at an event called Somerfest in the village of Maiden Bradley on the Somerset border. The event takes place at a wonderful country pub called The Somerset Arms, now run by Oban’s own Roy MacAskill and his partner Cate. Although we are on stage on the Saturday night we will be hanging around playing tunes all weekend. Come and join us!

I was in Kingussie this weekend taking part in a festival of dance called Strathspè Away. The festival is primarily about teaching traditional dance, but also incorporates some contemporary forms such as hip hop and salsa. Continue reading »
