The Ceilidh Bandidos are heading out of Argyll to play in Wiltshire, England on the weekend of 24th to the 26th June 2011 at an event called Somerfest in the village of Maiden Bradley on the Somerset border. The event takes place at a wonderful country pub called The Somerset Arms, now run by Oban’s own Roy MacAskill and his partner Cate. Although we are on stage on the Saturday night we will be hanging around playing tunes all weekend. Come and join us!

review – benderloch

The Ceilidh Bandidos played (02/05/09) last night in the Victory Hall, Benderloch, Argyll, Scotland. This was a family ceilidh for a fairly new community arts organisation called Arts and Culture in Ardchattan. There was maybe not as many folk there as we the organisers would have hoped, but those that did come were full of enthusiasm. In-between the dancing there was an ‘open-mic’ feature with an excellent selection of performances from young, local musicians, singers and dancers. A special mention should be made for a very young laddie (maybe 6 years old) from the North East who ave a fine performance of Katie Bairdie.
We wish this fledgling organisation all the best for the future and would ask that you can supprt hem in the future by attending their events. I don’t think they have a website yet but I will add a link as soon as they have one.
